I have been working at American Tradeshow for 15 years now. I started as an onsite tech and now in charge of our logistics and inventory division. Before this job I worked in the convention business in another capacity. I have seen it all when it comes to convention services. I have a wife and two children. When I am not working I like to ride my bike along some of our great bike paths in Mandeville, LA. I grew up in downtown New Orleans but as I have gotten older and more of a family man I prefer the quiet suburb life of Mandeville. I do on occasion like to have a staycation in New Orleans. Of course like any other New Orleanian I love the Saints, Pelicans and the LSU tigers Geaux Tigers!!!

Senior Onsite Show Specialist

Amanda graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. While in school, she was a Resident Assistant where she fell in love with event planning. Before joining ATS, she worked in the hospitality industry as a Conventions Coordinator gaining experience and knowledge for all things venue management. She loves being part of the ATS team, working with different groups, and problem solving with creative solutions. As one of her favorite quotes goes, “a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.” If she isn’t in the office or onsite, she is at home learning a new hobby.

Ashley Mentel

Onsite Show Specialist

Born and raised in Louisiana, I pursued my passion for languages and cultures by earning two degrees from Southeastern University—one in World Languages and Cultures with a focus on Spanish, and another in TESOL with a minor in psychology. My thirst for knowledge and cultural immersion led me to study abroad at the prestigious University of Salamanca in Spain. Additionally, I conducted a transformative month-long auto-ethnographic research journey in El Salvador, further deepening my appreciation for my Salvadoran heritage. Drawing from my experiences, I ventured into the world of education, working as an ESL instructor abroad, proudly operating my business, La Tribu 985, which specializes in English/Spanish translation and ESL programs. Our dedication to promoting linguistic and cultural unity on the Northshore was recognized when La Tribu 985 was featured in the esteemed "Sophisticated Women of the Northshore's" magazine. As a Salvadoran-American, I consider it an honor to empower individuals, integrating them as valuable members of our society. Beyond my work, I am an avid traveler, hiker, and enthusiast of indigenous cultures. Embracing my love for food and culinary adventures, I thoroughly enjoy cooking and exploring the diverse culinary landscape.

I'm eagerly looking forward to being a part of ATS, as I have a deep passion for traveling and expanding my knowledge. During my free time, you'll find me enjoying the company of my loyal dog, Brody, or indulging in activities such as hiking and water sports.
